Steppingbridge Teaching Support and Culture Exchange Association is Canada’s leading not-for-profit organization supporting community awareness, education support, and culture learning of underprivileged populations in China and Canada. The Association has been known for its annual volunteer trip and donation delivery to the remote regions of China to help poor children improve their education and living standards.
Steppingbridge organized its first trip in 2006 to Yubeng Yunnan Province in Southwestern China. Steppingbridge volunteers were the first group of students from outside the province to go into that area to investigate local communities’ education needs, and to provide education support and culture exchange programs. Thos volunteers were also the first group of students from universities in British Columbia, Canada to travel to regions of its kind for charitable purposes in areas of education support and culture exchange.
