Datong Yungang Airport (DAT) is located in Yungang District, Datong City, Shanxi Province, and is the only international airport in Shanxi Province, as well as an important civil aviation hub in Shanxi Province. Officially opened to traffic on November 30, 2006, Datong Yungang Airport is the first international airport in Shanxi Province and the first international airport in western China.
With a 3,000-meter runway, Datong Yungang Airport can meet the take-off and landing requirements of large passenger planes. The airport has an international terminal building to meet the needs of international passenger transportation.
