Fukushima Airport (Fukushima Airport) is located in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, and is the main airport of Fukushima Prefecture and the third largest airport in Japan. The airport is located approximately 20 kilometers from the center of Fukushima and 30 kilometers from the Fukushima prefectural capital. The airport is operated by the Fukushima prefectural government and is mainly used for civil aviation transportation. The airport has a 2.7 km long runway that can accommodate large passenger aircraft, such as Boeing 747s. The airport can receive about 1,000 flights per day, most of which are domestic flights and a few international flights. The airport has a terminal building that provides services such as security screening, baggage claim, stores, and restaurants.
